fishing pier — Belmar, nj

TThe Belmar Fishing pier was severely damaged due to strong wave action during a recent hurricane. The last bent of piles collapsed and left the deck cantilevered in the air. Lahita Engineering was tasked with the rehabilitation of the fishing pier's last 4 bays which included designing new angle braces to stabilize the pier and designing temp shoring to support the cantilevered deck. The permanent repair will consist of jetted CIP pile encasements to protect the existing piles during large storm events.


CONTAINER TERMINAL EXPANSION JOINT REPAIR – BAYONNE, NJ

Lahita Engineering was asked to design a repair for a deterioratedexpansion joint location at a shipping container terminal. The existing expansion joint was inspected by boat and then drawings were created showing the repair location and details.

MARINE CATWALKS – PAULSBORO, NJ

The Dock No 2 project in Paulsboro, NJ included the construction of new breasting dolphins, a gangway with tower, and access catwalks. Lahita Engineering was tasked with the design of the access catwalk structures spanning up to 70' long that connected the dolphin piers.
